SUMMARY
I’ve been teaching myself woodworking since my first shop class in Junior High in Coralville, Iowa. Since moving to Ft Collins in 1991 I have been in the residential remodel business in many different capacities and have been able to practice the craft by building kitchen and bath cabinetry, custom built-ins and furniture as the need arises.
I married a wonderful woman named Julie in 1997 and we have 2 wonderful kids, Lucas and Clara. We love everything about Colorado and Ft Collins and plan on being around a long time.
I try to be as involved as possible in the betterment of our community by volunteering at the Larimer County Food Bank and donating to local charity.

EXPERIENCE
I love the challenge of balancing budget and functionality while maintaining quality standards that I can be proud of. The customers I’m happiest with are those that at first don’t understand that quality can be affordable. When longevity of use due to quality materials and proper design are factored in, it almost becomes cheaper to do it right the first time. And that is not considering the user who receives it as an heirloom piece.
The name New Process Woodworking is derived from the idea that modern finishes, tools and materials enable small shops like mine to produce quality product, while keeping true to the Craftsman principles that we all strive to maintain.
CURRENT PROJECT
I-Cubed Office Suites
Recently I was asked to design and produce a entire office consisting of 8 workplaces as well as executive desks, conference table and bookcases for a local software firm that understands the difference between a custom, quality product and standard off-the-shelf products. I was able to produce the majority of it in Quarter-sawn White Oak in traditional Arts and Crafts style (Thanks Russ!) It reinforced my belief that with patience, and a bit of luck, today’s cost-conscious consumer still value the quality that is missing in today’s marketplace.
