SUMMARY

After 24 years working in the corporate arena and dabbling in construction about the same amount of time, I gave in to my desire to jump in to full time construction of homes. Opening DirectBuild in Northern Colorado and working with prospective clients I began to see the need to help people build more energy efficient homes. Recently, after completing training in residential energy efficiency assessment and retrofit processes, I am looking forward to offering these energy saving processes to clients. Guiding clients through the planning and completion of a new build or remodel project and educating them on energy efficient and sustainable building options is very rewarding. We don’t just complete the project for our clients; we teach them every step and empower them to manage the process with our guidance. You can “GIVE a client a house or TEACH a client how to build that house”. We think the latter is sustainable.

Niwot Addition & Remodel
We just completed a major remodel and addition to our client’s home in Boulder County. The client had planned for 8 years and upon retirement wanted to manage this large project himself. He quickly realized that he needed professional help to ensure he got the desired results in his plans. DirectBuild guided this client from permitting through the construction process to completion.
